THE IDEA:
Boardercross racing is a snowboarding competition in which 4 riders go down a course of slalom turns, bank turns, bumps and kickers.

The first one to get over the finish line wins the race. Since 2006 boardercross is an official Olympic Sport. The weblog offers a short introduction of the sport with the rules and regulations. The main focus will be on giving detailed explanations about the various techniques used in boardercross racing, which are:

The start of the race;
Going over speed bumps;
Making bank turns;
Jumping over kickers.
