Show me your Long Tail!

AMSTERDAM - Students of the University in Amsterdam asked me in June 2007 to show my own Long Tail.

After explaining the Long Tail Theory, they wanted to see proof. So they asked me to make a site about anything, yes anything, I was thinking about the next Monday at 9.00 p.m sharp. I accepted the challenge. I had problems with finding a driver for my mobile card, called WebnWalk and my operation system, Vista. So I opend a new site called webnwalkvista.com. Just as expected, it drew only 200 visitors a day. Most of the visitors where in the similar process of finding the right drivers. They found the Adsense ads interesting and clicked like hell, resulting in over $300 in three months. Suddenly I understood the power of a niche site. This inspired me to do the Long Tailer experiment on a larger scale.
